Our Prussian Ancestry

The Schleif, Schwartz and Krause families came from several different areas in the Prussian Empire. 

Carl Schleif and his family were from Vandsburg, West Prussia.
Wilhelm Schwartz and his family were from near Bromberg, Posen.
Frederick Krause and his family were from Grünewald, Pommerania.

Approximate locations of their villages are shown on the map below.

    MY Grandparents came from prussia, from Prohn as my uncle recounts. My last name is Spoerner.

    Interested in your Bahr reference. Looking for relations to John & Philipp Bahr first found in 1860, Montgomery County, MO who married VanStraaten sisters. Have long searched for their German birthplace. Thanks. cindykh@aol.com
